The Benefits of Multivitamins for Children

March 12, 2011 | Jeff Konchalski

One issue that has always nagged parents is that of children and multivitamins. Children certainly have different nutritional needs than adults, and you also have to factor in other issues, including allergies, age and, of course, the particular “limitations” in your child’s diet.

First of all, understand that even in the best-case scenario, all of us (particularly children) are NOT getting all the necessart nutrients for whatever reason, whether it’s picky eating or due to nutrient-depleted soils. Therefore a multivitamin is mandatory for children (and adults) of all ages.

In addition to the obvious benefits mentioned above, there are some addition reasons to make a multivitamin part of your childs daily routine. Studies have shown multivitamins help with concertration and focus and can help promote a healthy immune system. In addition, calcium and magnesium may also help produce calmness and promote better sleep.
